Meet the Team
Wakefly was founded in 2002 by Dean Dorazio, Tim Hawkins and Jon Baer. Former business colleagues, they pooled their respective talents and combined 70+ years of experience in web development, design and business strategy to form their own company. Over the last 17 years, Wakefly has grown substantially from a small web development shop into a full-service online marketing firm with around 30 employees just outside the Boston area.
Dean Dorazio
Dean Dorazio is CEO & Co-Founder of Wakefly, an online marketing company founded in 2002 to help businesses transform their online presence. Due to his passion for online marketing, he has helped thousands of clients improve their online image through effective website development, lead generation tactics, and desire to automate their marketing process.
Tim Hawkins
With over 25 years of professional experience in print design, multimedia design and website design, Tim has created over 500 websites. Tim has been recognized by industry standard design governing boards for his outstanding work, as evidenced by the multiple web design awards he has won in his career. Tim holds a BFA in graphic design from the Art Institute of Boston.
Andrew Oliveira
Andrew has an education from both Johnson & Wales University and NH Technical Institute, Concord New Hampshire. He is certified in both Kentico and Sitecore. With dozens of sites under his belt, including a Kentico Site of the Year nominee, Andrew has spent over a decade working in web development.
Angel Moret
Angel is a graduate out of the University of Puerto Rico, with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. Working in software development since 2012, he has worked creating web experiences for customers in both government and private sectors. He also has experience in the technical support field, and is able to work directly with customers to ensure that their needs are understood and met.
Ben Rabidou
Ben studied Computer Science at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Ben is a full stack developer who has built software for the last ten years at Alleyoop, Pearson, Monster, EMC and Wakefly.
Brad Sulewski
Brad joined Wakefly as a Web Developer in January 2015 with over 15 years' experience creating e-commerce websites, mission critical data driven web applications and tools. Brad has focused on LAMP and ASP.NET C#, HTML, Javascript and CSS to create custom applications, CRMs and CMSs across multiple industries including finance, travel, educational, social and e-commerce. Brad is a versatile resource and can jump into any project at any phase and help with scoping, development, project management and leading the team.
Chris Bass
Chris joined Wakefly in 2013 as a Software Developer. Working in software since 2008, he has worked with numerous clients across many industries on web design and development, as well as desktop applications and software APIs. He is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, with a B.S. in Computer Science.
Corey Furdon
Corey joined Wakefly in 2015 as a Web Project Manager. With over 12 years of project management experience in digital marketing agencies, Corey has successfully managed projects spanning across many platforms and industries. She enjoys working closely with clients and the Wakefly marketing strategists to translate the client’s business needs into user friendly, effective websites and applications. She takes particular interest in the technology aspect of each project and strives to understand “how things work” so she can help the team successfully navigate towards the best solution.
Jacqueline "Jackie" Horton
Jackie is a Digital Marketing professional with over 11 years of account management experience and a desire to be a trusted adviser who matches solutions to client goals.
Jill Temple
Jill joined Wakefly in the spring of 2014 as the Controller. She has over ten years of experience in many accounting roles and enjoys working with people. Jill is a graduate of Framingham State University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Finance.
John MacCurtain
John joined Wakefly in 2012, bringing with him, 18 years of marketing and business consulting experience. Spending the majority of his career with a 3500 Member ExxonMobil Franchise Group, John leverages his experience in developing and executing Retail Marketing Strategies & “Go-To-Market” Brand Strategies into the realm of Digital Marketing. As a Customer Success Manager, he combines the capabilities of Digital Marketing with his experience working with Global Brands like ExxonMobil, Coca-Cola, Altria and Pepsi-Cola to produce measurable results specifically focused on his clients profitability.
Kynan Pacheco
Kynan is a self taught developer with four years experience and a passion for learning all he can get his hands on.
Mark Sloop
Mark joined Wakefly in 2009 as a front end developer, but has worn many hats as the company has grown, and is currently serving in the role of Senior Project Manager. With over 20 years of experience in website and web application development, he brings both passion and expertise to each web project. Outside of work, Mark enjoys gardening and tending to his flock of chickens in central Vermont.
Matt Kayan
Matt K. joined Wakefly in 2011 as a Web Developer, and has been doing web development professionally since 2000. His areas of focus include Kentico and C# development, as well as front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript). He holds a BA in Interactive Multimedia Design and Implementation from the University of Hartford. Matt first explored BASIC programming on a TI-99/4A, and has been learning about various languages and platforms ever since.
Matt Wiseley
Matt has over 15 years of web development and agency management experience. Starting his career on CSC’s elite R&D team testing leading edge platforms, Matt learned the importance of establishing standardized processes for developing web sites. At Embarc, a leading builder of web presences for biotech companies, Matt rose from developer to Director of Technology and board member. He went on to build and run EditMe.com, winner of PC Magazine Editor’s Choice for wiki services, which was acquired by Wakefly in 2011. At Wakefly, Matt upholds a process-driven standard of excellence to deliver exceptional quality and value.
Mirek Cymer
Mirek joined Wakefly in 2012 as a developer with strong focus on open source technologies. His passion for coding has started at an early age and evolved through the years as he has developed in well over a dozen programming languages creating client, server, and web applications. Mirek graduated Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BS in computer science. He enjoys flying and travelling in his free time.
Ryan MacQuarrie
Ryan M. joined Wakefly in 2014 as a PPC Specialist. Before that he was an auditor for BJs Corporate where he crunched numbers daily. That experience allows him to look at accounts analytically which has proven to be a successful PPC management strategy. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, with a B.S. in Accounting.
Sandy Amador
Sandy started at Wakefly as a Project Manager in 2014. Sandy’s 10+ years of experience spans product management and project management for software, web, and app projects. She enjoys working closely with clients and developers in a team environment. Sandy brings her desire to deliver a high quality product that meets the client’s needs to every project.
Sarah Smith
Sarah started her career in PR & marketing and shifted to website project management, where she has been for over 3 years. She has worked in multiple industries and enjoys creating relationships with clients and helping them achieve their website goals. Sarah is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Public Relations, minoring in sociology.
Steve Karrmann
Steve joined Wakefly in 2015 as Web Developer. Since 2011, he has contributed to web-based projects within the market research industry, in both server and client development roles. He values responsive and visually-appealing design, and works diligently to reflect that in his projects. He is a graduate of Worcester State University, with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Mathematics.
