Following their successful collaboration in 2018, when Wakefly redesigned and developed SCCU's digital presence on the Kentico 12 platform, SCCU recognized the need to harness the advanced features of Kentico Xperience 13 to further enhance their online experience.

The decision to upgrade to Kentico Xperience 13 was driven by SCCU's commitment to providing a cutting-edge digital platform for its members, as well as the desire to empower their marketing team with enhanced content management capabilities.

The upgrade initiative aimed to perform a strategic "lift and shift," preserving the existing design and content while leveraging the advanced capabilities of Kentico Xperience 13 to construct templates, pages, sections, and widgets. The primary goal was to empower the SCCU marketing team with enhanced control over content management, addressing challenges encountered with previous versions.

Wakefly's development team conducted a meticulous assessment, resulting in a comprehensive development plan and business requirements document. An Accessibility Audit was also executed to ensure compliance with best practices and WCAG standards, ensuring an inclusive experience for all visitors.

Throughout the process, a stringent client acceptance testing phase was implemented, resulting in Wakefly achieving a nearly pixel-perfect rebuild of the SCCU website within the Kentico Xperience 13 framework.

Beyond the core objectives, Wakefly collaborated with SCCU IT to establish an internal hosting environment, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of the new site.
