WESTBOROUGH, MA —  Community Medical Centers (CMC), a leading private, not-for-profit healthcare network based in Fresno, California, has announced the launch of their newly designed and developed website.

With a legacy spanning four hospitals, a cancer institute, and numerous long-term care, outpatient, and other healthcare facilities, CMC recognized the need for a modern, user-friendly digital presence to better serve its community. The previous version of the website, built in an outdated version of Kentico and upgraded to 12SP over the years, no longer met the organization's evolving needs.

The decision to rebuild the website in Kentico 13 was driven by the platform's enhanced features and support, with Kentico 12 reaching its end of life at the end of 2023. Having worked closely with Wakefly for 8 years, CMC entrusted the agency with the task of redesigning and rebuilding the website, leveraging their deep understanding of the organization's needs and goals.

The primary goal of the rebuild effort was to streamline navigation within internal pages, addressing the challenges posed by the previous site's confusing layout. Additionally, CMC sought a website that would support their ongoing efforts to update and expand content seamlessly.

To achieve these goals, Wakefly and CMC collaborated on a design that prioritized user experience and flexibility. Leveraging Kentico 13's Page Template Properties, the team implemented a navigation system that allowed users to easily identify their location on the site and navigate between pages effortlessly. Furthermore, Wakefly developed new Page Builder Templates and layout options, empowering the CMC team to create dynamic page layouts tailored to their content needs.

In addition to the website redesign, Wakefly equipped CMC with a suite of page builder widgets, offering unparalleled flexibility in content display. The success of the project has led CMC to engage Wakefly once again, with plans to rebuild another site in their network using the same Kentico instance and leveraging similar features and functionality.
